Customer Service – Important aspect in Marketing

Businesses, when adapting to changes in technology, forget the most important aspect in marketing and that is customer service. Customer service involves dealing with customer’s complaints and questions, if they are in need of advice and guidance on a company’s products or services. We all want to cut down on expenses that are unnecessary, for example paying a telephone bill of £30 a month but the only people that call you is only family members, and this is important to budget out your daily life.

Companies who use automatic responders to answer questions are not there for their customers, as they have lost their human touch in caring for the customers. If a business advertises their mobile number, so that you can call them at any time, take advantage of this opportunity as this business cares for you and will help you. There is a quote that I positively agree with and that is, ‘To have superior customer service, you have to be mediocre as everyone else sucks’ even though it is harsh it is the actual truth of today’s society.

Blogging can provide helpful customer service as you can provide resources and answer questions to your readers, but sometimes people can take advantage of people’s kindness and abuse their helpful advice even though they asked the question to you. Although keeping up with technology is a vital aspect for businesses, do not forget that nothing beats the human touch of caring for customers even if it is a phone call, face to face on a webcam or actually going to the customers’ house to help them is all important to have great customer service.

Ways to promote your business (2)

Splash Pages/ Squeeze Pages

A splash page and a squeeze page is a method to get the attention of your target audience, so that they will click on it and takes them to your website. They are easy to create by following the templates in Adkreator, just like the banner, and you can customize them with any information you want.

You have to make your splash pages stand out against your competitors, as you do not want to follow the crowd, to make sure that potential customers, sign-ups or referrals click on the page. To make it stand out, you will have to work with color schemes, images and backgrounds and when you finally finish your design you can use it to promote your business.

This is a splash/squeeze page that was created to advertise a program called clicktrackprofit and this site gives you training on how to promote and will even give you some tips on where to promote your own business.

Social Networking

The goal of most business owners is to make money. This often results with the selling of a particular product or service. However, to sell that product or service business owners need to alert the general public. Customers cannot buy a product or a service if they do not know that it exists. That is why, as a business owner, you need to advertise your business.

When it comes to advertising there are many business owners who literally cringe.  There is a good chance that you are because many advertising methods cost money. As a business owner you want to make money not spend it, right? Unfortunately, if you believe that all forms of advertising take money, you are sadly mistaken. Although you may have to spend money to make your business what you want it to be, there are ways to promote your business and the products or services that you sell without having to spend any money at all.

One of the ways that you can promote your online business, without having to spend a dime, is by using something that is readily available online. That thing is an online social networking website. A large number of internet users, in fact millions of them, belong to at least one social networking website.

When it comes to social networking, there are many individuals who think of online friendships or online relationships. While these types of relationships are the most common, did you know that social networking is also used for businesses? In fact, that was originally how social networking got started. If you are a small business owner, especially one that operates an online business, there is a way that you can use social networking sites to your advantage.

Although social networking websites are traditionally focused on those that would like to make online friends or develop online relationships, there are networking sites that are designed for business owners. These websites will not only allow you to share your business information with other business owners, but it will also allow you to develop close relationships with those that share an interest that is similar to yours. Essentially, this means that you could not only learn valuable business information, but you could also walk away with a new business partner or a new friend.

If you are looking to join an online community, you will need to create your own profile or profile page. If you are planning on joining a traditional social networking website, to gain access to millions of potential new customers, you are urged to be careful when making your online webpage or profile. One thing that internet users hate is being solicited for business. This does not mean that you cannot use social networking to your advantage; it just means that you need to be careful with how you do it.

By joining a social networking website, especially one that is popular and has a large number of members, you should be able to generate interest in your business, including the products or services that you sell. Who knows, but that interest generated could turn into sales; thus making your social networking experience more than worth it.

Examples of social networking sites:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Myspace
  • Yahoo 360
  • Pintrest
  • Bizopper

Branding – Why is it necessary?

Branding could be defined as creating your own unique product or service and image, to attract the consumer’s attention. Businesses and Internet marketers focus on creating a relationship with their customers, for which they use methods to promote products and services to the general public.

So, why is it important to brand your business?

You need to get your message out to the consumers clearly about what your business provides, as branding also involves your consumer’s and prospects needs and wants. Branding will help to motivate consumers to observe your product or service, as you need to research what consumers are interested in, for example since it is spring time, diet and health products would be popular.

A branded business is very beneficial when it comes to advertising; a much bigger base of your audience would be able to recognise your business purely on the name or logo, for example, the technological company Apple are worldwide famous purely for their simple logo image. Branding therefore is a useful advertising companion tool that can promote your business purely for your business name, logo and/or slogan.  Depending on the size and type of business, branding can cost between $300 and $1000, however it could be argued the benefits outweigh the disadvantages if it assists your business’s advertising campaign.

Simple process to brand your business

Experienced veterans or beginners can use branding in an effective way by using a free program called brand me tool. This site was created by three people, who have their own traffic exchanges, and it is free or you can upgrade to experience the whole benefits.

The process of branding is easy, but the problem most people face is that they do not like their own image and choose a cartoon as an avatar, which destroys the purpose of communicating to the customers. The website goes through step by step on how to set up your account to promote your product through image, social networking and other methods to advertise like squeeze pages. Step one is filling in your details and the social networking sites that you belong to like Facebook, Twitter and even youtube. You will probably think, “why put your details as other people can look on your profile”, well only some of that information will appear on your profile as they respect your privacy and other information.

Before using the brand me tool website, you will have to upload your photo into gravatar.com which requires an email account. It is better for you to create an account on gmail first (if you have not got an account already) although they will accept any account; gmail is the best option out of yahoo and Hotmail. There are famous online marketers, who all agree, that believe branding and communicating with the customers are important, one of them is called Marcus Wahl. Marcus Wahl is the person who helped create brand me tool and other websites, as branding is essential through videos and squeeze pages.
